I crushed Totoro into little pieces and sprinkled him over vanilla ice cream and then I smothered him in strawberries and chocolate sauce. Damn Totoro, you tasty.
But really, why is it taking so long for the UK government to get through the process of legalising gay marriage? I’ll admit I’m not highly versed in politics and how it works. But what I see is other countries left and right are passing this law relatively quickly, whilst our government are still ‘umming’ and ‘ahhing’.
For me, my faith (whatever little there was in the first place) in my country’s leadership is falling further. All I can see is a room full of backwards old upper class geezers, mumbling about who it’s going to ‘offend’ and saying “We need a bit longer please.”. No. You need to follow example and move with the times. You claim this is a country of equality but it’s clearly not.
